Have you ever wanted to go to a different city, but don’t want to deal with the hassle of driving or finding parking downtown? It might seem that driving or flying are the only options, but you might be overlooking all the transit options already linking cities across the country. With Circuit, you can order an on-demand ride to these transit hubs and see just how far you can go without ever getting behind the wheel!
Here are some of the many eco-friendly inter-city trips you can take, from downtown to downtown, using only Circuit and other available rail transportation options.
America's best and brightest new train service, Brightline, is right within our Florida service areas in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Fort Lauderdale riders can order a ride to the Brightline station located at 101 NW 2nd Ave, hop on one of the hourly trains up to the West Palm Beach station at 501 Evernia St, and order another Circuit ride into downtown in under an hour.
We’re helping connect two of South Florida’s most popular tourist and commercial destinations, making intercity travel more convenient for everyone.
Two of our prominent community shuttle services in New York are in the Rockaways and New Rochelle. These services connect to existing subway and rail infrastructure, meaning you could get from the beaches in the Rockaways to New Rochelle using only public transportation and Circuit in under 2 hours! Our service covers most of the Rockaways, from Far Rockaway to Rockaway Park, and provides connections to all 10 subway stations services by the A and Shuttle trains.
A rider in the Rockaways can order a ride to any of these stations, hop on the A train into Manhattan, transfer to the 4 or 5 subway at the Fulton Station, and take the Metro North New Haven line from Harlem 125 St. into New Rochelle. The train station is in the heart of New Rochelle’s bustling downtown and is serviced directly by Circuit. Circuit rides in New Rochelle and the Rockaways are free of charge, so you’ll only have to pay a $2.90 subway fare and under $12 for a MetroNorth ticket!
Imagine you're living in Trenton, NJ, and want to take a beach vacation in the Hamptons— Circuit can help with that too!
Our Trenton service connects directly to the city’s downtown NJ Transit train station, which via the NEC line goes directly to New York City’s Penn Station. There, you can transfer to the Montauk-bound Long Island Railroad service to East Hampton. Order a Circuit ride to the beach and soak in the sun! Though this trip takes a little over 4 hours, wouldn't you prefer this instead of driving through New York City rush-hour traffic?
Santa Monica and San Diego are the northernmost and southernmost cities in our Southern California service region. Through connections to the LA Metro and Amtrak, riders can go from downtown to downtown in under 4 and a half hours.
In Santa Monica, simply order a Circuit ride from anywhere in the service area to the Downtown Santa Monica station on the LA Metro E line. From there, transfer to the B or D line at 7th Street and go to Union Station. Hop on the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and enjoy the scenic train to downtown San Diego’s Santa Fe train station. Using Circuit’s FRED - San Diego service, riders can order a ride anywhere in the expansive service area! Bonus points for hopping over to Coronado, one of our newest SoCal service locations!
Washington, D.C. to Catalina Island
Just to show the endless possibilities of transit connections, you can even get from Washington DC to Avalon, in California’s Channel Islands only with Circuit and trains – it might take three days though!
Start by ordering a Circuit ride to any of DC’s Green Line stations in our Southwest Waterfront service area, then switch to the Red Line at the Gallery Pl-Chinatown station and head over to DC’s Union Station. Take the Capitol Limited Amtrak train to Chicago, and then the Southwest Chief Amtrak to Los Angeles. This train ride takes about two days, so don't forget a pillow!
Once you get to Los Angeles’ Union Station, you can take the Metro A line to Downtown Long Beach, where you can order a Circuit ride from the metro station directly to the Catalina Island Ferry. Take in the stunning ocean views as you sail over to Avalon. You can even ride Circuit on Avalon and see all the natural beauty the Island has to offer.
Endless Possibilities
These are just some examples of the many combinations of routes you can take between our served cities and communities. Public transportation gives you more freedom than driving a car! You don’t have to find parking, sit in traffic, or fill up on gas. Plus, Circuit and public transportation are much more environmentally friendly and reduce traffic congestion.
We’re on a mission to make transportation greener and more accessible, filling the last-mile gap between existing transit and promoting local ridership. With Circuit’s 100% electric shuttle services in over 40 cities and communities nationwide, you can order a ride through the Ride Circuit app to anywhere else in the service area. From the tri-state area, Florida, SoCal, and even coast-to-coast, ride with Circuit and see for yourself!
